Privacy policy

Martha Hurry - Double Agent (this site) is operated by the operator, referred to here as "we"/"us". This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Account details — your email address and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), or your login method if you sign in via a one-time code or a third-party provider instead.
• Profile attributes — your call sign and side preference (capitalist / communist / no preference), which other players can see.
• Gameplay data — your ELO rating, match history (who you played, the result, when), and your friends list.
• Device/session data — the IP address, browser user agent, and browser language your session was created from, and when it was created and expires. This is recorded for account security (detecting suspicious sign-ins) and isn't shown to other players.

Why we collect it

To create and secure your account, run the matchmaking lobby and games, keep an accurate ELO rating and match history, let you connect with friends, and to detect and respond to abuse (repeated failed sign-ins lock an account temporarily, for example).

Advertising

The game shows ads through Google's H5 Games Ad Placement API (AdSense). Google may process data about your device and browsing to select and measure these ads — see our cookie policy and Google's privacy policy for details. The information you provide to us may be provided to advertisers.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us (below) and we'll action it, subject to anything we're required to keep for security or legal reasons (e.g. abuse-prevention records).

Security

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text. Sessions are authenticated by a cookie your browser never exposes to page scripts (see our cookie policy).

Children

This game isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account, by emailing us below.
